Procedure

To get you going we've created a SketchUp model that contains the essential ingredients, that's here:

In the model you'll see a version of the Barcelona Pavilion that is broken up into it's core components; the podium, walls, roof slabs, glazing and the signature cruciform column.

The more conventional looking buildings (primarily in grey) are the site context. The site you'll build on is the green field directly opposite the building with the large red facade; which is the Red Centre building where the Architecture Studios are located. The Built Environment gallery is on the ground floor directly opposite the green park.

So you could imagine Architecture students in the Red Centre building looking out towards your new multi story building gaining inspiration from it and the three exhibits it contains.

So how do you use the components from the Barcelona Pavilion?

You can make multiple copies of them, position them however you like (as long as the entry is from the green park), rotate them, scale them ... and modify them using the tools inside SketchUp. The sky, literally, is the limit.

There is one final component in the SketchUp model; the blue stair. This key circulation component will enable people to visit the exhibits and to experience the spaces first hand ... your multi story building should provide inspirational experiences not just be something to look at.

Finally, how many story's is a multi story building? At least two, and as many as you like.
